As I mentioned yesterday, the new CPSIA law is much more far-reaching than most people understand. We hear about the toys and the resellers, but many have not heard that even books are in jeapoardy.
This means no more children’s books in your favorite book store, favorite box store, favorite thrift store, or your favorite libraries. No more story hours at the book store. No more afternoons at the library sitting in the children’s room while you reminisce and share your favorites with your child.
Libraries are having to pull together their plans which range from the basic to what some might label “dramatic” (no more children’s books on the shelves).
