there are too many aphorisms to name but the one I have lived by most over the past month is “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” So, I have been mum on the subject.
Every time I thought about writing a post, I felt I had nothing to add to the conversation especially since nothing has changed outside of the labeling provision going into effect.
With each passing day, the end of the stay nears yet still there is no guidance, no communication. At one point, it was intimated that component testing would be approved soon but yet again, no concrete time frame on when that ruling might occur.
So business owners are left struggling to determine if they can afford testing; if they can stay in business. And while I may try to add levity to the situation with my posts like “Who needs the dictionary, we’ve got the CPSC definition now!” this is no laughing matter.
When it comes to CPSIA, there is nothing nice to say, but that shouldn’t stop us for making our voices heard. Maybe it’s better to subscribe to the lesser known, “if you don’t have anything nice to say (about CPSIA), come sit by me.”
