It’s rather geeky, but I love words. I love words in English. I love words in Spanish. I love words in Japanese.
I have a single favorite word in Greek because it’s the only one I know.
As much as I love words, I enjoy a play on words even more. So when I was coming up with possible product names for my fabric books I giggled out loud when telanovela (which, translated, means fabric novel) came to mind. It is intended as a play on the word telenovela (aka Latin American melodramas).
Everyone may not be familiar with these shows (although Ugly Betty, which is based on Yo Soy Betty, la fea has definitely helped to bring them to the fore), but those who do know them are very passionate about their “stories” so I thought it would be a great concept for my books.
So tune into a Telanovela (TM) today!
